Finland

We had a trip to Finland in June 2004 for my brothers wedding. Todd first met Clara while on a college exchange in Finland. Klara subsequently moved to Los Angeles and Todd moved home to Kamloops. But before too long Todd went down to Los Angeles to bring her back to Kamloops.

The trip to Finland was unfortunately a short one. Helsinki is a very beautiful and clean city. And we could never get over the amount of daylight hours. We expected it to be that way, but it was still a shock whenever we tried to go to sleep. It just never gets dark in the summer. From talking with Klara, the long summer months are pretty short before the short and dreary winter days close in.

Near the end of the trip, after the wedding, we took a day trip to Estonia on the ferry. Estonia was also very pretty.
